In this worship experience we examine the first century Galilean culture in which Jesus lived and examined the traditional wedding proposal which brings out a whole new meaning of communion. When Jesus offers the cup of wine to his disciples, he, like the groom in our story, is saying that he wants to make a covenant with his disciples and is willing to lay down his life for them and us. This powerful night ends with a time of communion.
